Data Services

  • CEnet’s Data Warehouse & ETL service aggregates learning, teaching and business data across the CEnet federation into a central standards-based data warehouse environment.

    Enterprise Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) services, and data standards are key components of this service.

    What is included?

    CEnet’s Data Warehouse currently houses data for a number of Key Reporting Areas (KRAs) including:

    • Student Assessment (NAPLAN) - Comparative/Detailed

    • Student Demographics - Detailed

    • Staff and Student Census (August) - Aggregate

    • SIF Code-sets (v3.4)

    • Senior Outcomes (Overall Position/HSC)

    • Attendance

    • Australian Early Development Census (AEDC)

    • Network and Internet Throughput

    Users of this service

    The main users of CEnet’s Data Warehouse & ETL service are teachers and administration staff that wish to utilize reporting available from Yellowfin in for purposes of reporting and data analysis, in order to perform data driven decision-making.

    Member diocese also use various layers from within CED3 to integrate their into their own warehouses, to aid in their own data investigations

  • CEnet’s Enterprise Data Access service provides multiple methods of access to data collected by CEnet on Member’s behalf.

    Member’s will have access via the Data Lake, via api’s, via layers within the Enterprise Data Warehouse depending upon the most appropriate means.

    What is included?

    CEnet’s Enterprise Data Access will provide access to a number of Key Reporting Areas (KRAs) where CEnet receives the data by Dioceses including:

    • Student, Parent, Staff Demographics

    • Staff and Student Census (August) - Aggregate

    • SIF Code-sets

    • Senior Outcomes (HSC/ATAR/NTCET)

    • Attendance Whole Day Attendance

    • ACER

    Users of this service

    The main users of CEnet’s Enterprise Data Access service are Member diocese data specialists who require access to data that CEnet collects.

  • CEnet’s Reporting and Analytics service delivers a web-based portal providing the ability for end-users to explore data through interactive dashboards, charts and reports, all contained within a collaborative and easy to use interface.

    Additionally, the Reporting and Analytics platform empowers users to create, analyse and share reports, dashboards and storyboards by providing new insights through data discovery.
